McBreen Enviro UK are experts in concrete injection as we have spent many years servicing this need right across Ireland. So we can stop leaks in minutes.
How do we do it?
We use our polyurethane resin to prevent and stop infiltrations to manholes and concrete structures. This stops leaks and provides a structural membrane behind the chamber.
Main Features
Resin expands rapidly when in contact with water
It stops leaks in minutes
Ideal for brick and concrete structures
Environmentally friendly
Non-disruptive sealing
And places impermeable coating outside structure
Stays permanently flexible
Resists ground water pressure
Diffuses vapour
What is Concrete Injection?
Concrete injection using polyurethane resin is a highly effective method for preventing and stopping water infiltrations in manholes and concrete structures. The process begins with identifying the infiltration points and preparing the area by cleaning and removing any loose debris. Small holes are then drilled into the concrete at strategic locations around the infiltration points. Injection ports are installed into these holes, allowing the polyurethane resin to be injected directly into the affected areas. The resin is injected under pressure, which ensures it penetrates deeply into cracks and voids within the concrete structure.
Once injected, the polyurethane resin reacts with water and expands, filling the cracks and voids completely. This expansion creates a watertight seal that prevents further water ingress. The resin also bonds with the concrete, adding structural integrity to the repaired area. After the injection process is complete, the injection ports are removed, and the holes are sealed with a suitable patching material. This method is not only effective in stopping active leaks but also in preventing future infiltrations, ensuring the longevity and durability of the concrete structure.
